COVID-19 terms & conditions
1. General.
Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) is:

Following the Australia Government Department of Health and Queensland Health regarding COVID-19 and will continue to do so as the situation develops in Queensland and around the country.

Operating in accordance with the COVID-Safe Industry Plan for Queensland Live Performance, Venues / Theatres.

By purchasing tickets to an Event, you agree to provide your contact details (full name, phone number and email or residential address) and the contact details of all accompanying ticket holders, except minors, for the purpose of contact tracing. Contact tracing details will be kept by Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) for 56 days from the day of your Event. You acknowledge that we may be required by law to provide your contact tracing details to public health authorities on request. This information will only be shared with the relevant health authorities if required and will not be used for promotional purposes. If you do not provide valid details for contract tracing Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) reserves the right to refuse admission.

Upon arrival at the Venue all ticket holders agree to provide contact tracing details (if not done beforehand), abide by all social distancing, health protocols and instructions from venue staff. Anyone not abiding with these directives may be asked to leave the Venue immediately, without refund or further recourse.

While we operate under COVID-19 restrictions all tickets will be e-tickets delivered via email. If you are unable to access e-tickets you must advise us at the time of purchase and we will arrange for you to collect your tickets at the box office in the 60 mins before your performance start time.
2. Remedy.

Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) encourages ticket holders who are feeling unwell with COVID-19 symptoms to notify the Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) ticketing team, via phone or email as soon as possible prior to your Event.

In these COVID-19 Terms and Conditions of Sale, the term 'remedy' refers to at least one of the following:I

Exchange or Refund – at the discretion of the Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) committee on a case to case basis

Donation – the ticket purchaser donates the ticket cost back to Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) as tax-deductable gift.

Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) will provide a remedy if a ticket holder:
-
is required to self-isolate or quarantine (and the Event falls within the isolation/quarantine period) with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or having close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or living in or having been in a high-risk area within Australia, or having returned from overseas.

has COVID-19 symptoms, has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting test results (and the Event falls within the period of awaiting test results).
-
is unable to attend due to border closures.
-
is in a high-risk category or are caring for/living with a person who is in a high-risk category for COVID-19.

3. How to request a remedy.

Remedy requests relating to COVID-19 Terms and Conditions of Sale must be received by Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) ticketing no later than 3 hours before your performance start time.

To arrange requests relating to COVID-19 Terms and Conditions of Sale you must email Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS) ticketing at info@mits.org.au and include your name, contact number, performance date and remedy reasoning.

You will not be eligible for a remedy if you contact us after your performance date and start time.

NORMAL terms & conditions
1. Cancellation of a Performance.

Contact details will be collected for the first 10 sales (these do not include competition tickets).

Due to cost associated with performing, if tickets sales are below 10 patrons per night, MITS reserves the right to cancel that performance.

MITS reserves the right to cancel any performance due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, every effort will be made to ensure all ticket holders are refunded or offered an alternative night.

2. Refunds & Exchanges.

Refunds -Subject to any statutory rights of refund (including, without limitation, the provisions of the Australian Consumer Law), if a performance takes place then generally there is no right to a refund.

Tickets may be returned to our ticket agent for resale. If they do sell, a full refund will be issued.

Exchanges – ARE permitted, providing notice is given no less than 72 hours of ticketed performance and subject of availability.

3. Group Bookings & Ticket Purchasing.

All group bookings must be paid for together in order to receive the group discount.

Tickets on hold must be paid in full within two business days of the performance night.

If tickets on hold are not paid for within two business days of the performance night, MITS reserves the right to resell the tickets without prior warning.

4. Special Meals. DUE TO COVID-19 Restrictions, MEALS can not be provided during performances.

Due to limited capacity in our kitchen, MITS will not cater for dislikes.

MITS endeavors to cater for special dietary requirements and basic allergies when we can.

If contact details are not left with ticket agent when requesting your special meal, your special meal will not be guaranteed.

Our caterer reserves the right to refuse special meal request for any given reason.
