About
The Mount Isa Theatrical Society is a non-profit amateur theatre company aiming to promote and maintain a lively interest in all forms of theatrical entertainment and endevour in the city of Mount Isa.
MITS has a long history in Mount Isa, originally founded in 1955 as the “Mount Isa Cultural and Entertainment Group”.
We stage four productions each year at our venue on Transmission St, ranging from comdedies, pantomimes, and dramas, all in theatre restaurant format.
Our members are from all walks of life, and regardless of prior experience everyone is encouraged to get involved both on and off the stage.
